A simple & an understandable book on SEO.It's worth the money.Would recommend it 2 everyone.

I bought this book 2 learn what I couldnt afford my web guy 2 do 4 me. My website was not generating much traffic & I thought it was a lack of good key words.

Here's what I learned in the first 3 chapters: By looking at the source code on my site as instructed by the book 2 do 4 basic elements I found:
My web pages beyond the home page had no title, description or key words! And more disturbing, my web guys business info was listed in the top area of every page where my page description & key words are supposed 2 go! I also learned I was not listed in an important directory, which I was able 2 do myself in 10 minutes.

I am hopping mad at my web guy & looking 4 a new one! BUY THE BOOK!

I am new at search engine optimization & needed a reference 2 help me get it right the first time. I bought Peter Kent's book because he has alot of knowledge on Wordtracker & I wanted 2 understand that completely. I am very pleased with this book & the many tips & tricks he passes on. The book contained much much more information than I had anticipated it would. Peter gets down 2 the basics & really explains how things work online. I will be using Peter's book as a resource 4 some time 2 come since it is packed full of information that will take me some time 2 digest & make use of. I had the opportunity 2 write Peter Kent. The impression I get of Peter Kent from his book & other resources I have seen is that he is an honest man who wants 2 let the newbie learn how 2 do search engine optimization the right way. The book is on its third version & I would suggest 2 anyone that they buy the latest version of the book rather than an other version since the internet world changes quickly. This would be a recommendation 4 any book on any type of internet marketing.

The suggestions given in this book are doable 4 the SEO novice. Practical applications, plenty of warnings of what NOT 2 do, & written in a direct, plain & simple style, this book was worth the purchase price.

I had 2 re-read & "chew" on the technical terms & others not familiar with internet-speak might get lost in all the "foreign" terms.

I would recommend this book 4 someone who wants 2 make simple changes 2 their website 2 increase SEO.
