I bought this book when I was planning our SharePoint deployment & intended 4 it 2 be used by our users who will be more active in the everyday use of the site. I haven't come across anything that a normal SharePoint user would want 2 do that is not clearly explained in this book. Lots of good content 4 everyone.
Rating: 4 of 5 Great reference book
I bought this book 2 help me on supporting SharePoint on the fly. So far, it has saved my behind. All the quick, basic, get-to-know-right-away stuff is all in here.
Rating: 4 of 5 Great Reference Book while doing Sharepoint Deployments
I bought the first version of this book back in Feburary 4 my 2nd Customer Deployment of Sharepoint. There are several things you may already know about Sharepoint Designer, but I found this book best used by intermediaries; as Reference Material.
For Beginners I also recomend 2 have & take the time 2 use the book because there will be things that will make more sense when you are presented with Business Case situations.
I put the book down 4 a month & now have started a 3rd customer deployment 4 a Bio-Tech company that wants 2 control workflows. Now I am re-referencing the book 4 additional triggers.
Down the road I can see using Data-Sources 2 create reports connected 2 Oracle DBs, but there is not a need right now or security access.
Hence the reference material.
If you are the Cheif Designer-Dev of a Sharpeoint Implementation this book is a must have 4 the miger cost.
