Mario or Not, Still a Superb Title
Luigi's Mansion was released at the launch of the Nintendo Game Cubes cycle.
Dating back 2 2001, this title still kicks. A bit off the beaten path of former Mario style games, Luigi's Mansion was a mixed bag 4 some.

The graphics are dated, but the gameplay is still thorough enough 2 be worth playing. Many modern games strive on powerful graphics, when dated you realize many of the flaws. The game is mysterious, mild paced, overall good fun. The game itself can be completed rather quickly, but the first play through is highly memorable.

Controls are a little stiff, & there are no technical levels. Mario games emphasized level based objectives. While Luigi's Mansion still has objectives they are unlocked by further progression. The objectives are 2 rid a mansion of ghouls. To do so you are given a vacuum, designed specifically 4 absorbing such ghosts. The variety in ghost is nice, the scenery is plot specific, but changes when prompted. Mario has disappeared, Luigi gained a mansion, coincidence?

I found few last generation titles 2 still hold a candle 2 modern titles, the timeless ones are now proving themselves. This game is fairly unique & offers a different style of gameplay. Out of the gamecube titles track some other good ones that are rather cheap now. Try out also: Paper Mario 2, Pikmin 1 & 2, Phantasy Star Online Eps 1 & 2, & lastly this!

Nit picking aside this a classic.
Let's start off with the fact that this has Luigi. A character who not enough people play as. And your a ghost buster. That's new. Problems include it's shortness, (I beat it in 4 days) & the fact it has wonky controls & bad camera. But this is a lot of fun & is even worth putting in your Wii libary.

Luigi's Haunted Mansion
This had Mario kidnapped & turned into a picture & luigi fights King Boo & Bowser 2 set him free! This was the first Mario Game 2 feature Elvin Gadd. ( Prof. E Gadd ). The types of ghosts you enter is an old lady, librarian, orange ghost, blue ghost, occasional color ghosts, rats, boos, tall pink ghosts. It never showed Luigi winning a contest, it was good 2 improve Toad into this game & the best action Mario game. It was like a mystery type game & it did like relate 2 Suoper Mario Sunshine. Luigi can't really jump, there is a passage where you enter through a mirror, Idon't see fasionation in this game but it was another poor game just like Mario Party 5.

This Game Is Frightfully Awesome!
Nintendo didn't have a traditional Super Mario Game ready 4 the Gameube at launch, but they had this game instead...which starred Mario's younger brother Luigi. A lot of people were skeptical about this game, thinking it was just a gimmick & such. In fact, 2 this day there's a lot of people who put this game down, including X-Play's Adam Sessler, who actually had the nerve 2 say this game sucks! But HE'S the one who sucks, because this game is awesome!

My only complaint about this game is that it's a bit too short, but it's a non-stop thrill ride 2 the end! Who could have ever guessed that sucking up ghosts in a vacuum could be so addicting? After a while, vacuuming ghosts becomes like second nature & you can't get enough of it. The thing that's fun is trying 2 vacuum them a certain way in order 2 shake out the big pearls & such! The more valuables you collect, the better ranking you'll score at the end of the game. If you suck out all of the big pearls from a major ghost, you'll score the gold framed painting of that particular ghost. The best I ever did was a 'B' ranking. I still don't know what I could have possibly missed? You can find money & jewels in nearly everything...chandeliers, couches, cabinets, vases, the refridgerator, even the toilet! And let's not forget the wiley & quick "Gold Mice" that occasionally appear! Oh, & also by watering plants.

The main plot of the game is 2 rescue your brother Mario, who was trapped inside of a painting! The final showdown with King Boo is pretty cool! This will alway's be one of my all-time favorite games & I REALLY hope 2 see a sequel some day soon! This game deserves the 5-star rating I gave it & more.

Luigi's Mansion is a great adventure game starring the previously-overlooked Mario brother!
