Fun, addictive, & crazy
This game is unbelievably addictive. you can make friends, as well as enemies. You can write letters 2 all your friends. You can design your own shirt and/or umbrella. You get 2 design your own house, & put in as much furniture as you like. You can go shopping; they change what they have in the store every day. You can even set a theme 4 your house. if you know real-life friends with animal crossing, they can hop on a train & go 2 your town, & after that visit, any of the animals who live in their town can move 2 yours. This can keep you occupied 4 hours.

Play It With Friends
Animal Crossing
One of Nintendo's top titles 4 the Gamecube was Animal Crossing. Many players bought this game & are still playing today. However, I am not in the magical group of players & believe that this game gets old quick. This game is a routine game; once you realize you are doing the same thing over & over, again you will stop playing.

Graphics- 5/10
As you probably already know, the graphics 4 this game are horrible. I'm not saying they needed 2 great, but they could've been a little better. The game was originally made 4 the Nintendo 64, which actually explains it's poor graphics. You also are stuck in a top down view that really restricts what you can see most of the time. Looking 4 other characters is a task because the view is so annoying. There aren't many load times though, so you can move throughout the small world quickly. The ugly graphics can be forgiven, as they don't really affect the gameplay any.

Story- 4/10
There really is no story in this game. You have hopped on a train heading 4 a town. You have pretty much no money. Luckily 4 you, Tom Nook quickly offers you a tiny home 2 live in. He allows you 2 make payments on it. From that point on there is no story. You just visit with other critters in the world & talk 2 them. There is nothing going on 2 keep you interested in the game. All you do is pay Tom Nook money & buy things from his shop. You are truly free in this game, but I wish a little bit of a story were added.

Sound- 4/10
The game's sound is almost unbearable. The music is probably the only thing you can deal with on the game. Even then, it is usual an annoying tune that gets old quick. The characters talk in a weird language that is more annoying than the Sims. I suggest turning the animal language off in the beginning of the game. You will get so sick of hearing the way they talk.

Gameplay- 6/10
You need 2 collect cash 2 pay off Tom Nook. At first you will run a few errands 4 him that will act like more of a tutorial. After that you are on your own. You can furnish your home, run errands 4 people, & a few other things. Once you have paid off your house, you can upgrade it a few more times 2 get bigger & add extra floors. This is all fun 4 a couple weeks. Eventually you will realize that this is a routine game. You do the same thing every time you turn on the game. You check your mail, run errands, fish, sell everything, pay off Nook, save & quit. This gets really tedious once you get 2 the really expensive upgrades.

You can have up 2 four people in a town though. If you have a couple other people 2 play with the game will become a lot better. If you have a town created on another memory card that is in slot two, you will be able 2 travel 2 that town & buy things from their shop. Trading fruit between towns can lead 2 a huge profit. You can even wreak havoc in another person's town by digging holes & leaving garbage lying around. It's up 2 you. Having a couple friends 2 play this with can really add 2 this game longevity.

Difficulty- 5/10 (Note- This is how much I like the difficulty)
There is no skill required 2 play this game. The only hard part about this game is paying off Tom's insane fees. Other than that there are no hard parts. Finding items 4 the Museum may be difficult, but at the end of the day you only have 2 dig up whatever is there. If it isn't there then you wait until the next day. The game wasn't meant 2 be difficult though, so I will give it an average score in this section of scoring. The fact that the game is so easy helps if you want a bunch of friend's 2 play the game with you.

Overall- 6/10
I will admit that the game is pretty fun 4 the first few weeks. Once you hit point where you owe Tom around 700,000 bells (currency), you will realize that you are going 2 have 2 do the same tedious things over again 2 get enough money 4 it. You can probably play this game an hour or so a day & be done with it in a few weeks. I can only recommend purchasing this game if you have a couple friends that are willing 2 play this game with you. If not then just avoid this all together. It will get too tiresome too fast.

Some of you are not playing long enough!
I realize that different people like different things, but this is not the kind of game you can 'try out' 4 an hour.

The first day or two you are 'working' 4 the store owner, who has just sold you a house 2 live in. He has you run those errands & such. This is mostly 2 familiarize you with the game & get you started.

This game works in real time, so you can't 'finish' this stage all at once. It wasn't designed 2 be played 4 hours & hours straight. It was made 2 play a little each day.

I've read a lot of reviews here & there about people who think they're 'forced' 2 pull weeds, pick all the fruit, pay off the loans (which get bigger & bigger), run everybody's errands, fill up the museum, etc.

THAT'S NOT IT AT ALL!!! You don't HAVE 2 do anything! You don't even have 2 pay back any of your loan, but you get a better house each time that you do. You don't HAVE 2 pull the weeds...just let them grow! Ignore the museum...whatever! Why would you keep doing something you don't enjoy? Personally, I hate dealing with the weeds...so I let them grow. (fortunately, a nice ghost I met at 2am pulled them 4 me!)

Heck, my boyfriend just got a big kick out of resetting & watching Mr. Resetti raise heck about it...and then he beat poor Kiki with the the butterfly net until she cried!!!!!

There are mini games that you find in the game, there are special events, & lots of game secrets (tip: when you dig up money from a glowing hole, bury some money in the same hole...you will grow a money tree!)

Also, some people are upset about the timeline & how they can only play during certain times of the day. CHANGE THE DATE!!! You can make it Christmas morning if you want. Also, I work night shift, so I change night 2 day...or just tweak the time enough 2 get Tom Nook's store 2 open.

Anyways, I really feel that some of you would have enjoyed it if you gave it a chance. Just play 4 15-30 minutes each day 4 a week...then you may become hooked.
