The First Mario Party Gamecube
This is the first Mario Party 4 Nintendo GameCube. This is the seventh best selling game on all of GameCube. This is very different from 5,6,7 the other GameCube Mario Party games. It does not have capsules / orbs. It has items technique 2 Mario Party 3. This is the only Mario Party on GameCube where you can be Donkey Kong. The plot was the gang gets invited 2 a party hosted by Toad, Goomba, Koop, Shy Guy, Boo ( which each have their own course ). This is the only with an exrta game room. This is the last Mario Party game 2 not have solo mode. Then you have the courses which each have a metaphor like one is a casino, haunted bash, carnival, beach & jungle but this rages out of the Mario Party league 4 GameCube. This is no match 4 the best Mario Party. This only has 8 characters & the main host ( Toad ) is bringing through certain modes. This is the last Mario Party where you can not be Boo or Toad. This is a little more futuristic 4 2002.

Great Game!
I rented this game from Video Review yesterday & absolutely LOVE it! It may be an old game but it is great! It has Battle, 3 on 1, Bowser, & 4 player minigames! It features: Koopa, Toad, Boo, Goomba, & Shy Guy who have their own courses.

Quite fun!
There are some really fun minigames in this game like "Booksquirm", but there is also a load of boring 3-1 games, I didn't really like ANY of them.
The graphics are very pretty, the water effects in one of the minigames is beautiful.
There's also a lottery where you can win muschrooms or money.
Bowser Minigames are fun, a bit long, but I love the humor in "Fruits of Doom".
"Dee-lish!"

My only complaint about this game is how SLOW the characters move on the board, it's like watching them walk in slow-motion, it sadly takes up most of the time you are playing.

Love the Mini-Games
This Mario Party has the best mini-games of any of the Mario Party's & I definately recommend buying this one before some of the others.

The Mario Party games popularized the trend of board game bonanzas with an assortment of varied activities. Each shindig was like having dozens of games in one, & Mario Party 4 is the wildest multiplayer get-together Nintendo has ever thrown. Mario, Luigi, Yoshi & an all-star cast of Mushroom Kingdom regulars have been invited, & there's never a dull moment as one 2 four players compete in 50 all-new miniga

It’s a pretty bold claim but 4 many, Mario Party is the best multiplayer game series ever. No need 4 guns or complicated role-playing elements here--Mario Party is fun because it’s simple. The original N64 game created an entirely new subgenre--an unlikely combination of traditional board games & lots of ultrasimple arcade titles. The idea is that you travel around the board trying 2 collect stars, which must be paid 4 with coins, & you get coins by competing in minigames, which occur at the end of every round. These minigames generally don’t last longer than a minute or two, & many are based on old Game & Watch titles. There are over 50 minigames in Mario Party 4, & each involves either a free-for-all, two players against two, or one against three (depending where you land on the board at the end of your turn). These can involve anything from skydiving 2 basketball dunking, or car racing 2 hide-and-seek, 2 name a few.

Admittedly, this basic description of the gameplay might not sound too exciting, & indeed if you’re playing with less than three human opponents it can be pretty tedious. But play it with the full complement of non-virtual rivals & the game’s infinite capacity 4 cheating, backstabbing, & ganging up allows it 2 completely transcend the humdrum sum of its parts. There’s nothing terribly new in this third sequel except that the graphics are much improved & the minigames are all new, but that really misses the point: get this game out at Christmas instead of Trivial Pursuit & you’ll wonder how you ever got through the holiday without it. --David Jenkins, Amazon.co.uk
