Fun 2 play, But alot better with multi player

a good team-playing game
If you've played Baldur's Gate before, then *Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes* will be a piece of cake 4 you. In fact, I found it 2 be a bit too easy, especially when battling the "bosses" 4 each level.
Nonetheless, team-playing is always fun with destroying the enemies, collecting coins, weapons & rewards, discussing strategies with your teammates & the like. The best part is solving the riddle or looking 4 sacred items in order 2 advance 2 the other side or the next level.
I was the rogue which I accidently chose because I wanted 2 be the wizard. So, that meant I had 2 battle with a bow & arrows & an array of swords (cutlass, kris, etc.) My teammate was a fighter that has this awesome "war cry" that, when used, paralyzes enemies in their place 4 a few seconds. This gave us the opportunity 2 destroy them before the spell fades away.
Overall, it was a fun game! Now, I just need 2 go 2 the bathroom & put on a band-aid on my raw thumbs. Played this game over the weekend until we finished it!

Nothing Special,.......Believe Me !!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, if you love Dungeons & Dragons or classic Gaunlet/Diablo RPG styled games & such,.... but overall this game is very bland & somewhat boring!!! There is no innovation or nothing special that will have you saying hey this game is freaken' awesome man.... yeah!!! "Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes" is a complete clone of "Balder's Gate" similar in so many ways,.... it's actually kind of scary!!!
Yes, it was fun 4 a little while playing around with the 4 player co-op, which was a blast & even along withthe vast weapon & magic combos.... which gave you & your character a lot of options, when leveling up & such,..... beyond that there isn't much else 2 say. The level design is bland; the combat get's repetive, the graphics are choppy, & the game is overall a breeze; with maybe the exception of finding all 20 soul shards that will power up your weapons & abilites & such. The most annoying thing of all being the classic barrel/box smashing,.... hello were in the 21th century,.... be free 2 be more creative!!!
Besides, the flaws though the game can be fun, like the boss battles are farily fun, but it was a game I played 4 awhile,.... left sitting there 4 about a year & a half & ended up really getting into it, though the game was barely a challenge 2 a gamer of my level easily beating the game less than 15 hours flat, combinding all the time I actually put into the game. It is a very solid game,.... but the camera pissed me off zooming in & out at will give me a break. You do though get a bunch of Character options throughout the game. You get 2 choose between:
-a Fighter(Human): Built on strength/brute force & along with deffense, many physical attack combos: sweet finishing moves: ~ Assec. Weapon Sword
-a Cleric(Dwarf): Built on Wisdom & Charma, vast spell & weapon combos make this character interesting ~ Assec Weapon: Hammer
-a Wizard(Elf) Based around Intellegence & Magicial spells, & some other neat tricks ~ Assec. Weapon: Staff;
-a Rogue(Half link/ hobbit like creature) Based around Dexlerity & Technique, very small with a nice seat of daggers 4 serious death dealing ~ Assec Weapon (s): Daggers
Each character is unique, with customizeable inventories attack combos, spell, magic, weapons armor, & anything that you would typically find in any basic RPG or Dungeons & Dragons board game!!! Best played together: it's painfully boring at times playing alone. The only thing that makes this game shine is the 4 player co-op & the D&D liscence, .... people give this game too much credit!!! Hey, in my opinion the orginal Dungeons & Dragons game blows this out of the water,.... & hey what's even the point of buying this with the new Dungeons & Dragons: Online game coming out 4 the PC, along with other games like Warcraft which are 100 times better than this. You also have new RPG's out like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Fable, & so many others which are way better than this!!!
I mean heck, if you want 2 blow $50 hard earned on medicore material while, you could get Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic 4 about $20 bucks be free 2 it's a free country. Hey, I guess if you love RPG's or D&D you might find a lot of enjoyment,.... but this game is par in my opinion, no more....no less!!! I do think they could have had better quests as well,... 4 example the side quests were all stupid... & frankly pointless!!! Along with barrel/box smashing action & open treasure chest opening hunting 4 gold!!! It gets old after awhile,.... game developers try something new!!!

Overall Great Game......Especially 4 player co-op!!!!!!!!!!
Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes ...... can be darn fun, the highlight being the 4 player co-op which makes this game different from most of the other games on the market!!! Well, it's the same old, same old, with the Gaunlet/ Dialbo feel & the Balder's Gate look!!!
The game isn't perfect either.....!!! Don't get me wrong it is a great game but, nothing special, well except 4 the 4 player co-op which keeps this game fun!!! I will admit the environmets were vast & unique, along with plot twists, nice weapon/magic combinations, side quests, & boss battles, along with the search 4 the 4 the 20 soul shards!!! The soul shards basicaly power up your weapon, 4 each 5 your main weapon powers up 2 a new level!!!
Yeah, Yeah but if you play straight through the game you could beat anywhere from 10-14 hours!!! The boss battles are fairly easy, & the game is pretty easy, the only challenging part would be finding all the soul shards... which actually wasn't hard either!!! The camera gets on my nerves at times, & the gameplay gets bland & repetive after awhile!!! Their may be vast power up options & so-on, like I said it's the same stuff from most RPG's!!! The only two things that make this game stand out from the rest is the: Dunegons & Dragons name & .... of course the co-op!!! You choose from the: Fighter/Human, Cleric/Dwarf, Wizard/Elf, & the Rogue/Halfling... all 4 heroes who defeated the evil wizard Kaiden, now 150 later they are called upon again 2 save Baele from the ressurected & very much still evil Kaiden!!! Nice, story.....huh!!!!
Yes,Dungeons & Dragons is fun, in fact a must have 4 any fan, but it could have been better!!! Just look at new next gen RPG's like: Fable, Star Wars: KOTOR, Star Wars: KOTOR 2, & Jade Empire!!! Although, D&D has the co-op & classic feel, it can't compare 2 the games listed above!!! Maybe back in 99' or 00' this would have been a great, & new innovative game, but being a good game, in an industry filled with awesome games it will be over looked!!!

Great multiplayer
The main reason I buy console games is 4 the multiplayer option. If I want a single player game I buy it 4 my pc. This game is a fun hack & slash game. If you are looking 4 a complicated game with a wide variety of level ups this game isnt the game 4 you.

Second, This is a very loooooonnnnnngggggg game. But when you think about it. Those are the games you like. i don't know about everybody else, but 4 me, as soon as you beat it, you don't feel like playing it anymore. This game 4 some reason i don't mind playing over. And when you play with four people you get almost three times the amount of gold out of chests than just one.
Overall, i think this is going 2 be a classic game, especially 2 play with your friends, & i would recommend it 2 anybody who like these type of games.
