He really likes it
This game was a birthday gift 4 a friend's son. She told me he really likes it & plays it almost every day when he gets home from school. You can't get better than that!

Fighting Fever
I ordered Soul Calibur II 4 my husband because he used 2 own it 4 dreamcast or something & he loved it. I think that the new soul calibur IV coming out made him want 2 play II again. Anyway, it was in wonderful condition when it got here, & we play it quite often. My sister likes 2 come over & we take turns playing. We'll fight against each other & when someone loses they have 2 pass the controller so two other people can play. It's a fun time. I love unlocking new outfits 4 the fighters.

Simple 4 beginners, deep enough 4 veterans
Soul Calibur remains one of the best in its genre. The concept utilized in the game is a straight-forward weapon based 3D fighting system, with each character using a unique weapon. The weapons utilized vary from types of swords & daggers 2 staffs & axes, making it simple 2 find a particular weapon that suits your style or general preferrence. The combat system is very user-friendly, with a four-button interface (horizontal attack, vertical attack, kick, & guard) 2 prevent some of the confusion that can occur in more complex fighters (like street fighter or king of fighters). While this simplicity makes this fighter an excellent choice 4 those new 2 the genre, it also leads 2 the most common complaint against the game: the ease with which "button-mashing" can be used. To further frustrate some players, the button-mashing technique can even cause an inexperienced competitor 2 beat a moderately-experienced individual. Since this is the case, it often takes some practice (as with any fighter) 2 ensure victory over those less-experienced. However, this is easily overlooked since the game can be played with many people of various skills & all are forced 2 improve their game, as opposed 2 simply doing the same thing all the time. I would heartily recommend this game 4 people who may not dive into more complex fighters, but want something 2 play with other like-minded friends. I also recommend this game 2 avid fighter fans, as there are some characters whose techniques are very difficult 2 utilize correctly (offering a good level of challenge even 2 experienced players). In my opinion, the Soul Calibur games are the most enjoyable fighters on the market today, & I will continue purchasing the new releases in the future.
