Backyard Hockey

i really thought that the graphics on this game were cool, but the actual game play need some work. I played this game 4 like 5 minutes & I was already bored. I am a huge hockey fan so I was hoping 4 a little better game play even 4 a GBA game. But Im 12 so this game was really boring but 4 my 7 year old brother it was the best game in the world.

Wow...Where do I begin. Well, The graphics are very impressive. Oh yeah, & the gameplay is very amazing. You might think since it is a backyard sports game you can't hit or check....WRONG. You can hit whenever you get the CHANCE! Overall 8/10.

My son got the GBA Backyard Baseball as a gift & loved it. They already had soccer, baseball & football 4 the PC, so I never thought 2 get it 4 the gameboy. They recently got GBA Hockey & love it. We are going 2 buy a second one so they can link & play against one another.

The backyard games are all terrific & the kids have not lost interest in over a year!!!!

My favorite GBA sports game ever.

I am a hockey fan so I appreciated all of the game elements that Atari included: Off-sides, line changes, 2 line passes, penalty box. I love being able 2 set my lines & change them as I play & not just between periods.

I can't say enough about the game play. They got it just right. 3 player & a goalie play 4 each side barring penalties. The contols are intuitive & you have room 2 pass it around 4 better shots or power it up 4 a big slap shot.

They could have made the AI more challenging 4 single player, & the NHL players that they included aren't all of my favorites, but neither of these problems should hold you back if you are a hockey fan & a fan of good game play.

With kid versions of NHL stars, zany power-ups & that one-of-a-kind Backyard Sports excitement, Backyard Hockey provides fun, speedy, end-to-end action. Now that it's on the Game Boy Advance, rinks rats can hit the game-winning slapshot anywhere.
