Video Professor Starter Pack

Before I bought this, I did tons of research online. Unlike other video professor products, this one DOESNT enroll you in a subscription.

The videos were very informative 4 my parents who are learning 2 use computer. I would very strongly recommend this product.

If you are like me & need visuals 2 help explain things then you will find this helpful. I have since bought two more: digital photography & windows. I like them. I bought them from Amazon so I didn't have any contact with Video Professor.

My boyfriend wanted 2 try several Video Professors 2 increase his computer usage knowledge. We tried going through Video Professor itself & had all the issues listed in the other reviews here.

I finally ordered the program here on Amazon 2 avoid dealing with the video professor direct issues & we received the Starter Pack a few weeks ago. He really likes the programs. For someone who wants 2 learn what windows, outlook, word, & the internet can really do this is a very good systematic approach 2 teaching those programs. Issues with Video Professor aside the teaching approach in the cds are very thorough & easy 2 navigate through. You can easily rewind through the lessons & redo sections if you want.

In this "Starter Pack" you get the first cd of each of the programs (they are all available as separate 3cd lesson plans).

In summary, the programs work very well 4 people who want 2 learn these programs. Ordering it through Amazon gets you a good price without having 2 deal with monthly offers from Video Professor.

Beware of this guy....he will send you unwanted videos & keep charging your credit card $70/month month after month....no customer service 2 respond 2 complaints ...will report this scumbag 2 better business bureau

I ordered a program from Video Professor. At the time that I ordered, I told the order taker that I only wanted that particular program. I did not want 2 receive future programs unless I specifically ordered them. I received the program I ordered. However, some time later I received another program that I did not order & did not want. I called customer service. They said 2 send it back. I said I had no intention of spending my own money & time standing in line at the Post Office. Then they offered 2 send a self-addressed, pre-paid mailing label. I agreed & waited 4 them 2 send it. Apparently, more than one month went by & I still had not received the label. But, they deducted $69.95 from my checking account anyway. I called them about this. They said they would make sure the label got 2 me. A month later, it still had not arrived. I called again. They promised another label. To date, I haven't received the return label; but, they still have $69.95 of my money taken at the end of April & now it is July.
