Old school racing goodness.
Being a Nintendo fan 4 life I grew up with the F-Zero series. I actually recently purchased this game just 2 get that feel 4 the Mode-7 racing games again. I didn't think I would play it that much but ended up loving it. Its really fast & the controls, while take a bit 2 get used to, are tight & responsive. Its got a great story & just a blast 2 play. I have a huge Nintendo collection & this is a great addition 2 it.

One of the best racers on the GBA
As far as racing games go 4 the GBA, the small library that does exist isn't the best. Thank Nintendo 4 F-Zero: GP Legend; another installment of the futuristic racing series that is undoubtadly the best of the series 2 ever grace the GBA. Offering a horde of different racers & racing modes, variety is the name of the game here, as F-Zero offers superb graphics & makes excellent use of the GBA's control scheme (since it makes frequent use of the shoulder buttons, it's actually better 2 play on an original GBA as opposed 2 the GBA SP) as you race throughout the varied tracks while trying 2 keep your vehicle from going up in smoke. The gameplay is simple & easy 2 get into 4 novices, while it still offers challenging gameplay 4 veterans of the series. F-Zero: GP Legend bares more resemblance 2 the classic original Super NES title than any other game in the series on any other platform, & next 2 Mario Kart: Super Circuit it's the best racer 4 the GBA. All in all, consider this essential playing.

Pleasantly surprised
I bought this game because I am fasinated by racing games 4 the GBA. I saw this game a week before I purchased it, & it looked really cool. So I bought it, & I liked it. The game is slightly odd, but that's why I liked it so much. The story mode is good, the
time attack is good, ect. The reason why I didn't give this a 5 star rating is because nothing is perfect, & I am sure if I got a perfect version of this game & compared it 2 this one, I could find some cons.

As good as its GCN counterpart (and that is saying something
F-Zero GX 4 the gamecube blew gamers away with its release, great graphics & truly challenging gameplay. The problem was the GBA release called Max Velocity, as another reviewer has stated was a pale shadow of a racer especially GX. It offered one gameplay mode essentially & was just too hard 2 control on the little system.
Then last year Nintendo dropped F-Zero GP Legend 2 coincide with the Fox cartoon series. What a difference, excellent variety of gameplay modes with a diffuculty level that actually is playable. Last night challenging the time attack mode I was amazed 2 find that this game will save a GHOST of your run onto the gamepak 4 you 2 race against yourself, 4 every track IMPRESSIVE.
The L & R triggers are a huge component of this game & as I am getting deeper into I am finding it much more fun 2 play on the GC GBA player as it allows 4 a little more control & visibility, but it still is playable on the GBA just a little more challenging. Really fun & deep just like I expect from the big N.

Jeez! Could this game get any better?!
WOW! I couldn't have been more impressed by this one game! The soundtrack is a little annoying (except 4 the Port Town & Mute City music), but that didn't really matter! There are 34 vehicles in this game that each have their pros & cons. One of the best vehicles in the game is the Blue Falcon, Twinoritta, & the Red Gazelle. The levels were pretty cool, too. Some levels are really annoying, though, like the Illusion level. They have no Electric Bumpers, & the Fire Field level, because of the mines on the ground... The only flaw 2 this game is that it is WAY too short. The story line is a little tiny, they could've added more, but I still enjoyed it. I got every single vehicle in the game in 2 days, & even got the Platinum Cup ( you have 2 unlock that cup) & beat it on the Expert class! Only because I stayed up all day & night playing this game, I am a game freak & I am addicted 2 this game. My favorite character in the game is probably Jack, C.Falcon, or Rick W., or even Black Shadow.
Well, I don't want 2 give up all of the game, so I'll leave the rest 4 YOU 2 find out. Only you can decide the fate of protecting Mute City, & the WORLD!!!!

F-Zero: GP Legend is fiendishly tricky & exciting racing that will have you completely absorb. It's never-ending racing thrills, as you try 2 come in first while completing tasks. Refined controls, multiple difficulty levels & great graphics make you feel like you're on the track! Challenge your friends in four-player GameLink competition
