DC DXG-301V Digital Video Recorder with MPEG4 & Digital Still Capability

I purchased this item 4 my son 4 Christmas last year. He was able 2 use the camera 4 video 4 a small amount of time due 2 the lack of internal memory. He then installed the memory card (recommended with the camera) & then the system would not turn on. It seems that the memory card slot was not designed well. Once you take out the card, the camera would work. We tested the card in another device & it worked properly. We sent the camera back 2 the manufacturer & they had it 4 about 10 days & sent it back with no problem found. We still cannot use the camera with the memory card in it. Do not buy!!!!!

This camera is cheap quality & doesn't produce good results. Invest in a real camera. Don't buy this one.

The camera itself wasn't all that bad. The video quality was okay, the picture quality was fine. But it was the sound quality of the video that really threw me off. I got this as a Christmas present & loved it... Until I tried playing the video back. In a nutshell, it is nearly impossible 2 hear anything anyone is saying if they're further than 10 or less feet away, even when you download the video 2 the computer. So I thought 2 myself, why not just buy a microphone 4 it? Wrongo! I found out the hard way that it isn't possible 2 use a microphone with the camcorder.

So, if you just want a camera 2 make music videos or other silent productions, I guess this is fine 4 that. But if you're looking 4 a decent quality video camera 4 school or home videos or short productions, I would CERTAINLY not reccomend this.

This one is a product of bad quality, the cap of the batteries 2 a few days I damage enough of light is needed in order that the sign meets slightly clear, product of bad quality I do not recommend it 2 him(you,them) & 4 quality the price must be low

When I purchased this item, I was expecting a video recorder that can also take still photographs. Instead it is a still camera with video recording capabilities. The product name is misleading.

That does not mean that is a bad camera. In fact it is a great camera, if the user intends 2 use it primarily 4 still photographs. For video recording I would recommend something else. The resolution is only 640x480 & the results are heavily pixelated videos. The device also produces horrible monophonic sound recording.
