This game is utterly bad, & not just because of the comparison 2 its prequel. To come after the single greatest online shooter in history, it is an insult, an atrocious abomination worthy of scorn beyond measure. However, even if it were called something completely different, & in no way related 2 Unreal Championship, it would still be a very bad game. It lacks entertainment value in spades, the story, while actually pretty good, is extremely short & is replaced with the standard tournament style ladders, & the characters are frustratingly bland.

Malcolm, the one really interesting character, can only be unlocked by going through an absolutely excruciating series of challenges, which manage 2 be both horribly difficult & horribly boring at the same time, which is a triumph in & of itself. The addition of Raiden from Mortal Kombat is a humorous marketing ploy which, while probably making them millions, is gimicky at best.

Online play is no better. Gameplay is hampered by difficult controls & the fact that half the weapons can be easily reflected back by anyone with reflexes & the melee weapon every character starts with. The maps are so bad as 2 be humorous. Half of them are an exercise in jumping, either off of buildings or into lifts 2 get on 2 the buildings in order 2 jump off them again when you find someone who is below you. The other half are bland & repetitive, every inch looking like every other inch.

All in all, this may be in the top 10 worst Xbox games ever made. The fact that it appends one of the best Xbox games ever made compounds this fact, not that it needs compounding 2 be blatantly obvious, leaving the player feeling insulted & ripped off.

overall, i found this game 2 be a lot of fun, especially on multiplayer modes, i had alot more fun playing with friends than i did by myself, i also found some of the single player modes 2 be a little confusing at times, but otherwise it was a very solid game overall, & i would give it a 9 out of 10 if it had that kind of scale. i would definitely recommend it if you like 2 play multiplayer fighting games
