Do not waste your money
This phone is a piece of junk. The phone i received had AT&T logo on it. The phone feels like made from cheap material. I used 2 have the RAZR before & it was good. Believe me unless you want 2 waste your money & time, DO NOT buy this junk. I am sending this back today.

Great Phone For My Needs
Well, I've had my V3 Razr 4 about 15 months. In that time, it's been unusually trouble free. Okay, once or twice, it has freaked out with a whitescreen but I attribute this 2 heavy use & some cheap aftermarket batteries.

The good: Yes, it's sleek & pretty. It's well built. It's packs away in a vestpocket. The range beats most other phones in my area--I get more bars than anybody I know in concrete buildings & I actually live in one.
It has the features I need: bluetooth, speaker phone, conference call, etc. And a few features I don't need: camera--I'm a very small businessman, I'm not Steven Spielberg. Still, I keep a foto of my family as a background screen--it's a nice touch.

At 95 bucks, you can't top the price 4 this kind of quality. I paid $250 4 my current V3 Razr when I bought it overseas. And I'm buying a second phone as backup & 2 take advantage of the commonality of all the accessories I now have. Plus, my wife is eying my current Razr rather hungrily & she'll probably wrench it from me before too long, anyway.

The bad: Battery life is only fair; I get a full day at the office with 3+ hours of calls & most of those bluetoothed 4 handsfree action. But you have 2 expect 2 recharge nightly. Even moderate use of an hour or so necessitates a nightly recharge. I can live with this. I just can't afford 2 have my phone fail on an important call. So I charge it daily. Often, it's on the recharger at work while I use my bluetooth headset. This works 4 me. It's always ready 2 go when I am.

Hey, I consider 3+ hours of use 2 be a serious workload 4 any cell phone. It's really not fair 2 beat on your phone on a daily basis & then complain about its performance.

For the benefit of those worried about the warranty, well, I live abroad. The Razr is a very popular model. There are numerous service centers with people skilled in the repair this phone. If it's not up 2 snuff when you open it on day one--send it back 2 Amazon on their 30 day return policy.
But if it works fine, then rest assured it's no big deal 2 get service 4 it in any large city abroad or in the U.S.

I give it 4 stars 4 all of the above reasons. To me, the good outweighs the bad. I don't need a ton of features. Just a few that work consistently. And I have 15 months of mostly heavy but trouble-free use so far. Hey, the best endorsement I can give is the fact that I just bought another one.

Decent product.
It is a decent product 4 regular voice users. The design is quite neat & clean. One charge of the battery gives almost one week's worth of standby hours. Another plus is that this phone has Input in Chinese.

phone gets hot after few minutes of talking
Got this phone less than 1 year. But, now as I talk, the phone becomes so hot that it hurts my ear & my hand. I hate this phone. It's a piece of junk. It looks fancy but not practical. And then I have 2 charge it every night otherwise, the battery dies so quickly even though I hardly use my phone.

No complaints
I recieved this phone a couple of weeks ago & I really like it. My old Sony Ericsson had a couple of features that I miss with this phone (timer, stopwatch, programable daily alarm clock), but otherwise I really like it. I'd never go back 2 my old phone!! This one has a much better signal & keeps a charge a LOT longer.

When the Motorola RAZR V3 was launched last year, I think most everybody, including Motorola itself, was quite surprised by how popular the handset turned out 2 be, considering the asking price. Its slim profile & sleek silver colored metal body proved 2 be just too much of a temptation 4 the world, & people the world over jumped through hoops & over hurdles just 2 get one 4 their very own. Everybody was a movie star with one of these!

Black is beautiful.

Until, of course, Motorola gave 50 exclusive RAZR V3 BLK handsets 2 some real movie stars at the 77th Annual Academy Awards in February, 2005. All of a sudden, the silver RAZR lost some of its shine. But once again, it is time 4 the masses 2 rejoice. Motorola is making the RAZR BLK available 2 all.

Of course it isn't just the color that makes the RAZR V3 BLK such a desirable handset. One reason that people love it so is its size. It weighs only 3.35oz (95g), which is pretty light 4 a phone that has a largely metal body. At 3.86" x 2.17" x .57" (98mm x 55mm x 14.5mm) in size, it is actually thinner than most candy bar style phones on the market. It can be slipped perfectly into a shirt, suit, or pants pocket, as well as a purse, without being noticed.

There is so much more 2 the RAZR V3 BLK than its physical being, though. Certainly the primary purpose of any phone must be making phone calls, & in spite of its small stature, the RAZR V3 BLK managed a full 7 hours of talk time in our tests - a very respectable showing. A related bonus is the fact that you can charge the RAZR V3 BLK directly from your computer's USB port with the same type of mini-USB cable that you probably already have 4 your digital camera. That's one less power adapter 2 pack in the suitcase. Support 4 all 4 GSM frequency bands means that the RAZR will work in San Francisco & New York just as well as it will in Paris & London. The handset's internal antenna also proved 2 be quite capable, offering up very good reception in weak signal areas.

Of course some compromises had 2 be made 2 get all of this functionality into such a small package. The keypad, 4 example, is a very thin metal unit that offers less tactile feedback than most, though it makes up 4 that somewhat by looking fantastic in the dark, thanks 2 its cool blue back light. While quite usable, it might take a bit of getting used to. No compromises were made with the main display, though: a nice 2.2" 65k color TFT unit, with 176 x 220 pixel resolution. The external display is also color, though only a 4k CSTN type.

The Motorola RAZR V3 BLK is thin & definitely in.

The built-in VGA camera proved itself 2 be one of the better ones on the market, offering good contrast, color, & focus in most situations. The RAZR's polyphonic sound system also works quite well, & even allows you 2 use MP3 files as ringtones. So if you have a few dollars 2 spare in your quest 4 looking like a movie star, Motorola has got just the thing you need. Luckily, the RAZR V3 BLK has the brains 2 back up the beauty.
