Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 [LB]

I have had this software 4 over a year. Today, I am once again struggling 2 open 5 pictures & do basic editing. The software is buggy, it hangs up continuously & takes literally minutes 2 open a folder. It takes more minutes (not seconds) 2 show thumb nail photos of the contents of the folder. Many times the program has locked up & I have lost hours of work. This is not the fault of my computer which has more than sufficient speed & memory.

As far as features go, it is okay - nothing fantastic, but okay. If you have a lot of time & a lot of patience & want something inexpensive, this might be okay. However, if you are like me & are short on time & don't want 2 wait around minutes 4 a folder 2 open, pass this by.

This is not the best image suite I have used. However, I was able 2 purchase it & receive a rebate whereby it was free. If you can't get a rebate, I would suggest looking around a little more. It is fairly easy 2 use, but doesn't have the wealth of tools that other products have. If you just want 2 crop, auto focus, etc. & send 2 others or post on your home page, this is fine. If you are shooting 4 a professional look 4 a business site, this may not be the package 4 you. The one feature 4 which I purchased it was the stitch feature. It also does not work as well as others but is usable if you can get all the pictures 2 line up correctly. Mine was free ultimately, so I will keep it. But will still keep looking.
