Awesome Adventure Game
If you like "Point & Click" adventure games, then this one is 4 you. Incredible plot, interesting puzzles, & great graphics.

Another Serial game
Yet another game that requires you pretty much do everything in serial order 2 get through it. Not sure anyone ever actually makes it through these things without some reference 2 cheats as there is almost never two or more ways 2 solve anything. How come they build really good games 4 play station & Nintendo that are so much more complex. Decisions have consequences & they are numerous ways 2 solve problems.

At least it has an interesting story line, so is fun 2 play through.

Love the graphics
After playing & enjoying the first two Broken Sword games, I couldn't resist buying this game 2 see George & Nico in 3D. The 3D character models & scenery are top notch & that is really is the reason I gave it 5 stars. You even get 2 revisit a couple of locales where the first game started & seen in 3D they are even better.

Some of the gameplay is a bit painful as most of the puzzles involve getting into locked buildings or getting past armed guards. The first two games were more detective/adventure stories while this one features adventures & puzzles. Solutions 2 a few of the puzzles eluded me & I had 2 get hints from uhs-hints.com. I don't like cheating like that & would prefer a few more in-game hints.

The interface is easy 2 learn but unfortunately there is no option 4 using a mouse. There are a couple of different setups 4 the keyboard if you don't like the default but I found happiness with my Logitech Dual Action game pad.

I didn't have any problems installing or running the game except that it was slightly incompatible with my SoundBlaster X-Fi Gamer sound card & I had 2 set the X-Fi 2 Entertainment mode 2 even start the game.

To sum it up, great graphics, characterization, dialog & story, with minor shortcomings like occasionally monotonous break-and-enter puzzles & limitations in the interface & camera control.

F U N
I would have given a 5 star rating 4 "overall" but there were a couple of random gameplay bugs - not everyone will experience these bugs.

The sound, graphics, & story were excellent. The adventure was fun. Can't wait 2 play the next one.

GREAT GAME!!!
Okay I'll admit I was weary of buying this game as I'd heard it wasn't really an adventure but more of a hybrid. I found this 2 be compeletly false. This is strictly a third person view, adventure game. While not the normal point & click (you have 2 use the arrow keys like in Grimg Fandango & SOMETIMES a choice of up 2 four keys). I disagree with the previous reiveiw that this was hard 2 do without a joystick. I don't own a joystick as the only games I play are adventure games. While I will admit the game controls took me about five minutes 2 figure out, it didn't take away any enjoyment of the game, in fact it feel as though I'd just sloved the first puzzle! Honestly from me I felt the use of these buttons incorperated more enjoyment, with this game as sometimes (when George or Nico would have 2 climb a wall by pressing w or do they jump by pressing s)was a puzzle all in itself. There by making the game feel more real & the puzzles fully a part of the game. Also while I only play adventure games I am mediocore at them at best often falling 2 the use of walkthroughs. I found I only had 2 look at a walkthrough 4 this on the first stealth sequence as I'd never had 2 do one before. Yes there are some places that require stealth however the timing is easy 2 do, & 4 a person who hasn't played a game other than an adventure since pac man, I still didn't have too much trouble with it I can honestly say it didn't distract from the game. My only complaint was I felt the story could have used a bit more of an ending but with broken sword 4 currently in the works I don't mind too much :). I really loved this game & I rarley say that, infact the last time I liked a game enough 2 review it was.... the longest journey. I love the direction & chance this company took with trying out something different from the same old point & click (I never thought I'd type that before!) & hope 2 see more games like it in the future. Trust me if you liked the Gaberial Knight series or if you just want a good adventure check this game out.

Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon is a pure adventure game that takes place in a fully-realized 3D world. George & Nico, the intrepid heroes of the first Broken Sword games, are back as they explore the deserts & jungles of Africa & the backrooms of America, in separate storylines that come together 4 an incredible adventure.
