Swissbit Swiss Army 1GB USB Flash Drive Red 401313

The swiss army knife & scissors are very useful & sharp. The scissors cut through plastic more easily compared 2 the usual full sized office scissors. Led light very bright 4 small corners [mainly looking through my purse at night 2 find my keys - lol]. Pen writes very smoothly. USB very handy when you need 2 take some info with you on the go. Overall, the product performed better than I expected. The only reason I did not give full points was the initial problems with the USB stick. The seller was quick 2 respond. I bought [and upgraded from 1GB 2 2GB] replacement memory stick & it is working superbly.

I picked up my drive about 2 years ago. I kept it in my pocket except when flying, & found the small form factor convenient, useful & rugged enough 2 carry without worry.

Because it "lived" in my pants pocket when not in use, it was probably inevitable that it would be put 2 the Laundry Test. Sure enough, after my jeans went through the machines on one occasion, my SwissBit clattered 2 the bottom of the dryer drum. I was surprised & impressed when it worked flawlessly afterward. More than I expected, 4 sure.

Alas, my trusty SwissBit was "lost" from a locked suitcase during a commercial flight 2 days ago. I'm online now looking 4 another.

The device has done all that was asked of it & more, with the bonus of being a fun novelty, even among propellerheads.

I've had the 256 bit Swissbit flash/jump drive 4 years with never a problem (hope they don't start now). Very durable & functional (especially with all the accessories -- scissors, pen, knife, nail file, screw driver, light, etc.). Maybe those guys with the bad ones unfortunately received a lemon, but mine is great & has been working over the past going on three years.

I've had my Swissbit 4 about two-and-a-half years. I always have it with me 4 little data emergencies & use it 2 store freelance projects. It's my the third flash drive I've owned, & although it cost a little more, it has held up so much better. I never had data problems, but the housings 4 my other drives (One was a Sony & the other was a no-name brand) eventually cracked & fell apart. Not so with the Swissbit. Plus it's incredibly handy 2 have a pocketknife with me. I've used all the tools at one time or another. No problems, & I use it almost every day on both my Mac & my work PC. Highly recommended & also a lot of fun. The fact that you can pop the flash & leave the knife at home when you fly is a bonus.

the disc was never readable or mountable on my powerbook g4 running 10.4.8

swissbit support finally emailed me a disc repair software tool but the disc again was unreadable whenever connected 2 any computer. the best solution swissbit could provide was 2 Please mail or call Victorinox 4 further instructions.
hopefully Victorinox will do better & replace it with a working device. very unhappy with this product & it seems I am not alone
