JVC GR-AXM18US Compact VHS Camcorder

I bought this recorder 4 a gift (used). It has no volume on it, so I am seriously disappointed...it was DAMAGED & I am sure the person who sold it 2 me knew this. I am very very very unhappy.

my old camera was getting worn out. i knew i had 2 look 4 a new one, but wasn't sure about digital ones. i was afraid that i would need a DVD burner 2 make DVDs & did not want 2 store all the videos on my hard drive, because i could lose them any time (you never know when a virus may strike). anyway, i almost lost hope, thinking that vhs cameras are long in the past. luckily, i was wrong. i love this camera! it's very convenient. it has a great screen, so you see what your taping, & you can flip it over 2 tape yourself! neat!!! i would definitely recommend this product 2 people like me, who like some things old-fashioned way!

My husband & I bought a new digital camcorder last August, but have never adapted 2 it, as it is so difficult 2 view the films. We had owned several VHS-C in the past. This is a welcome return 2 a familiar format. As expected it is bigger that the digital one, but it is slimmer & lighter than our last VHS-C model.
The instructions are a little more complicated than the last model. The zoom button is very conveniently placed. We have only tested it & the quality of picture & sound seem good. We are about 2 go on a trip & see the results.

After finally receiving the item (never got it first time it was sent) my daughter loves it - It was a gift. Unfortunately, Amazon credited my account instead of sending payment 2 company that it was purchased from. The credit card is closed. What a mess. If this had been the first time I used Amazon, I'd never use it again. Fortunaely, I've shopped Amazon a lot & this is the only really problem order.
