invisibleSHIELD - iPod Video 60GB 80GB - Full Body Protector

I purchased an invisible shield 4 my LG Dare, IPod Classic, 30GB & 120GB & 4 the screen of my Canon XTI SLR Camera. The shields are a bit tricky 2 install if you go with the full body type but very much worth the price. I was initially looking 4 something 2 protect my LG Dare screen & had purchased one of the cut it yourself shields which scratched too. When I got this product I installed it a little crooked & after a while it started peeling. I contacted Zagg.[...] from whom I purchased it & they replaced it free. There is a lifetime warranty so if it ever tears, scratches, peels etc. they replace it 4 a $[...] fee, which I assume is about what it costs them. The trick 2 installing it correctly is 2 be patient & line things up (especially holes made 4 speakers & protrusions. This is the key 2 success. I put one on each of my iPods & my camera & that was a snap. As has been said by others this won't protect your device from dropping or other physical abuse but it will absolutely protect it from scratching. If all you want 2 do is prevent a screen from being scratched them just buy that kit. Most have a choice of just the scree or the whole body. One last thing - There is a difference in the size of a 30GB & 120 GB iPod shield.

I have the invisibleSHIELD film on three items so far - a 60GB 5G iPod Video, an iPod Touch, & a 15" MacBook Pro (the full-coverage kit). It works so well that I'm going 2 be putting it on my wife's laptop, cellphone & iPod in the next month.

The installation isn't as hard as you may have heard, as long as you're careful. I think part of the reason is that the included instructions are better than they once were, & the application solution is now included, rather than you having 2 mix up your own. I never viewed the online installation video, so I can't comment on it.

You don't have 2 have access 2 a level-100 clean room 2 do the installation, but don't try 2 do it while sitting on the beach on a windy day, either. Clean your hands & the electronic device first, & use LOTS of the supplied fluid, on both your fingertips & on both sides of the film - the more the better, because it makes it easier 2 reposition the film 2 get it just where you want it, & the wetter the film, the fewer bubbles you'll have 2 get out. Any small bubbles trapped under the film will disappear within a week, anyway. Save any leftover fluid, because after you've used this film once, you'll probably buy more 4 your other devices, & it's always better 2 have extra fluid on hand.

The film does have a slight texture 2 it that you can see if you hold it up 2 the light just right, & it's a little "grabby" compared 2 the smooth glass or polycarbonate face of the iPod, Touch, or iPhone, but it doesn't interfere with the touch screen or click wheel, & you'll quickly get used 2 the new feel. I did leave the film off of my Macbook Pro's touchpad 4 now, although I saved it in case I change my mind later & decide 2 put it on.

Once you have the film on & you've given it a few days 4 any bubbles/hazing 2 disappear, the final results are amazing. Unless you're looking 4 it, the film is practically impossible 2 see from more than a few feet away, & virtually nothing will scratch or damage it. I like it so much that I'm going through their website 2 see what other gadgets I have that they make shields for.

I have an 80GB video Ipod, & this shield is absolutely phenomenal.

Don't let the other reviews fool you. There is a lack of spray, but it was enough 4 me 2 get it all on. I used a few extra sprays of the solution on every piece of the product. (I screwed up the back side, & had 2 respray using up the last of my spray). It took me about 20-30 minutes 2 install it.

I wish I had gotten it prior 2 my Ipod getting scratches on it because it looks phenomenal now. I keyed it on the back side, & I could not penetrate the shield. If you didn't know better (and you install properly), you would not even know there is a shield on it.

I recommend this 2 anyone who is willing 2 go through the hassle there is 2 install it because it is worth it.

Product looks as if it would work well. HOWEVER, I ran into problems during installation & needed replacement parts. They were quite helpful initially with email but when I had 2 phone customer service they would not help unless I had the original sales receipt. So I now have a partially installed shield on the front of my iPod, with one corner sticking up,and a back without installation fluid with which 2 instal it. I can be treated badly 4 free; why should I pay 4 the priveledge? I'd probably give the product 5 stars if I could install it but feel generous with the 2 stars considering their customer service policy.

These guys have an incredible product. The scratch resistance is almost unbelievable. The precision cut of the individual pieces is exact. The web site has ample information, including videos showing how 2 install the product. HOWEVER, all of this is undermined by their giving customers only a tiny bottle of solution with which 2 install the product. I could have used triple the amount they sent. What makes this unforgivable is that installation, quite frankly, requires more solution than they send and, c'mon guys, how much would it set you back 2 even double the amount of solution? Go 2 the web-site & order more solution if you're ordering this product. It's a must.
