Originally when I purchased this memory stick I didn't realize that it was not Vista compatible. However I was pleasantly surprised 2 find out afterwards that there is a download 2 make it compatible. I plan on buying another Verbatim Store & Go with more memory later on.

Other 4GB size, which speaks 4 itself, the U3 functionality helped make the purchase decision. U3 provides the ability 2 run standard software - internet browser, email client, word processor & similar - from the flash drive. It also keeps personal settings such as email server addresses & passwords on the drive. When plugged in 2 a host computer, the automatic setup procedure takes a few seconds, then was has effectively a shelled mini-system which does not leave any trace on the host computer. I have used it at one conference that provided terminals, & although the staff there weren't used 2 this new technology, they let me use it. Connection 2 my work's email server was easy; I downloaded all messages, read some of them immediately & replied later at the laptop at the hotel which only offered an expensive connection. Next day, I reconnected the flash drive at the conference & sent the messages off. So far, I am very happy with this drive. The only thing that could have been solved better is the cap which is not teathered & get get easily lost (at least I do :-).

As always, ask yourself: Do I really need this? No matter how easy things are 2 use, you will spend time fidgeting with it, & it will at some point frustrate you.
