ABBYY PDF Transformer 2.0 Pro

The product is refreshingly easy 2 use: you browse 2 the pdf you want 2 read, click one button, & Word opens with the converted text. The OCR is great! There only one caveat: on my order, the CD came loose in shipping & scraped around on the spindle that was supposed 2 be holding it. It was unreadable on receipt. Amazon sent a replacement (promptly) that also arrived with the CD loose & scratched .. but readable this time. All in all, I'm very satisfied.

This product is great. The best part is that it will convert PDFs 2 OCR WITHOUT CHANGING THE FORMAT - so what you see in the PDF is what you get after the conversion, not a muddled mess. This includes graphics, photos, legal pleadings, etc. You do have 2 go through & double check 4 typos - but the conversion rate is about 98%. I am not aware of any other program that will do the conversion as well. Well worth the money if you do PDF conversions. And if you just want 2 convert documents 2 PDF, without all the other bells & whistles that Adobe gives you, it is very functional 4 that too.

This is one of the most essential tools in my arsenal. It accurately converts PDFs 2 Excel spreadsheets, or Word documents - leaving me in complete control 2 force treatment of parts of the document as graphics.

In converting files 2 PDFs it is a most efficient converter - Other previously used print 2 PDF programs would give me files 4 2 10 times as large as this program does. It is a great program.
