LG Handfree Stereo Headset for the LG Chocolate and other compatible LG handsets

Not sure what LG was thinking with this one. The earphones conect 2 the microphone module using 3.5 mm plug & the microphone module connects using a 2.5 mm plug & the phone uses the LG proprietary USB connector. I firt bought a 3.5 mm USB adapter which let me connect the earbuds 2 the phone & seemed 2 work, but 2 use it as a hands free phone I had 2 also by a 2.5 mm plug adapter. My last LG phone had a 2.5 mm headphone adapter built in & that was what I was expecting when I bought the phone. I actually have more $ invested in adapters now than headphones & it still does not work well. Boo 2 LG all the way around.

I wanted 2 use a standard corded stereo headset 4 my ENV2 phone, & thought all I needed was a 2.5mm 2 3.5mm adapter, then simply use an existing headphone, but that did not work as expected (I simply heard sound from 1 side).

the 2.5mm jack in the env2 phone is not just 4 the headphone, but 4 a microphone input as well... So one needs 3 little bars on the 2.5mm jack (1 4 microphone, & 2 4 stereo headphone).

all that being said, this headset from LG did the trick, (you can even plug in your existing 3.5 mm headset into the LG connector if you are not happy with the headset they included). It turned my ENV2 into an excellent mp3 player.

CON: no earpads come with their headset.

this head set is better than i hoped great sound & interchangable with other head phones

The seller advertised this product exactly & came through in a timely & efficient manner. No surprises. This 2.5mm head phone converter with LG head phones attachment is perfect 4 use with headphones provided or alternative headphones on a mobile phone. Or any 2.5mm jack. Versatile with cords.

One thing I forgot 2 mention is that the earbuds included don't have the soft cushioning that come with most other earbuds & keep them in your ear. However, if you're buying it 4 the adapter 2 use with your own earbuds, you're in 4 a treat.
