HP S7600N Pavilion Slimline Media Center Desktop PC (AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+, 512 MB RAM, 200 GB Hard Drive, SuperMulti DVD Drive)

Been using this 4 the last 2 years. For the price I paid (I got the refurbished), it already way surpassed my expectations.

I work at times at home using Autocad 2006, & this PC never fails me. Multicard inputs is very convenient. I have both Paint Shop Pro & Adobe Photoshop Elements installed 4 photo editing. Picassa is snappy. I run OpenOffice 4 wordprocessing & spreadsheets. Even the latest Itunes with Genius works great. Kid games works perfectly, but not processing hogs like Half-Life which then it becomes choppy. Definitely not 4 Crysis.

This is one of the smallest PC package I have seen except 4 my Apple Macmini. Just perfect 4 HDTV installation 4 its size. Wireless internet connection. This guy even has a Firewire input.

Be Careful. I have the earlier version of this Slimline, s7220n. Mine developed an overheating power supply when creating DVDs. It only has a 108 watt power supply, which is rather low 4 all the devices attached. I did a google search & found many others who had similar problems. HP would not acknowledge a problem existed. Had 2 buy a new power supply from them.

This computer has been working out great since I bought it about 3 months ago. With the coax hookup in the back my monitor will double as a TV & it even comes with a remote. The card readers located on the front are very convenient as is the USB port on the front. There are 4 more USB ports located on the back which is way more than I need right now but it's good 2 know that when I do need them they will be there. It has room 4 2GB RAM which is nice. You can put this computer almost anywhere because of it's size. The only downside I see is the lack of room 4 expansion. That hasn't really been an issue 4 me at this point though.

I bought this little desktop 4 my two boys at Christmastime this past year & have 2 say I'm entirely impressed with it.

I've long been a fan of HP's computers. They tend 2 have high-quality construction & give good value 4 the price. However, this is an unusual unit, thanks 2 its small size. I used 2 avoid "funky" or unusual designs, but wanted something relatively sturdy & not too large. With the advent of USB 4 most peripherals, the use of PCI cards & drive bays becomes much less critical. And the Wi-Fi is integrated on the motherboard here. So I went with this machine.

It was very easy 2 set up & it has run consistently well. It's played a variety of games, even demanding ones. The video card seems 2 have plenty of zip & it powers the cheap Acer flatpanel I bought 4 the boys just fine. I did junk the crummy keyboard & mouse that came with it.

Overall, I can't say anything bad about this machine. So much so that I'm thinking of replacing my long-in-tooth web server with one just like it.

Excellent machine 4 the price. I do finances, word processing phots & have it hooked up 2 my notebook computer on a LAN. I have been very pleased with the results
