The unique combination of hardware- & software-based security on the DTS gives you unprecedented access control & encrypted data protection on Windows-based systems. With the MyDataZone software, you can set password access control 4 a private data storage area that uses 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) hardware-based encryption. If lost, this advanced hardware encryption system will continue 2 protect the data in your drive's privacy zone, even under the toughest conditions.
For ease of use & personalization, the My Traveler software helps you organize the DataTraveler's contents, set language preferences, & synchronize files with the host device. You can even add your company's logo 2 the DTS 2 help with branding or as a promotional tool.
Designed with a metal casing, the DataTraveler Secure's waterproof rating continues 2 keep data safe & adds protection. For additional peace of mind, DTS is backed by a 5-year warranty.
I have 1 complaint, which depending on the user may be of value or seem foolish. I tried out the drive by locking my system, then reauthenticating (no reboot). Apparently once the drive has been authenticated in a user sesion, even if the host is locked (ctrl-alt-del) then is logged back into, the drive remains open. I was hoping the drive would require the user 2 reauthenticate 2 it as well. I have not tried it, but makes me think if someone was 2 RDP/VNC in 2 your box while the drive is authenticated (NetAdmin) then they would have access 2 your data as well. This may be an issue with WinXP if User quick switching is enabled & is certainly the case if you share user login/passwords on the same box. (I purchased the drive 4 someone who practices poor data security & was hoping this drive would force good behaviour).
