What's in the Box
S9 Bluetooth headphones, USB charger, user's manual.
This device has a lot going 4 it- sound quality is quite good. I am a very persnickety audiophile, & the lows were ample enough 4 most tastes, the highs fairly crisp & the volume was enough. Nothing amazing, but good enough 2 listen 2 4 long sessions & not get tired.
The controls work pretty well- it is so nice & convenient 2 go forward & back or pause a song from the headset itself. the volume up & down buttons as well as the forward/back buttons do not have a very positive "feel" 2 them, but the headphones respond with a "beep" tone when they are pressed.
They are reasonably comfortable, but I can see the dilemma other users have had- this is just not made 4 larger heads.
The battery life is very impressive. I can go 2 the gym & use these headphones 4 6 hours or more at full volume before they poop out. Not a bad deal 4 $40, but I couldn't see spending the $130 or so that Motorola was asking when they first arrived.
Now 4 the bad. Do not buy these headphones if you want 2 use them 2 talk on the phone!!! I do not know how some reviewers were able 2 take calls on this headset while being mindful of other people. You really have 2 speak up 4 anybody 2 hear you.
After a couple of weeks, the headphones would suddenly skip forward from track 2 track, & I would have 2 turn them off & back on 2 remedy it. No doubt due 2 the moisture, so I started wiping them off intermittently 2 prevent the glitch. This seemed 2 work 4 a while.
After a couple of months, the volume turned itself all the way down on me & would not turn back up. Nothing has worked 2 bring them back 2 life, & the low volume has rendered them useless.
I will buy another pair but will not spend more than the $40. $30 is more what they are worth, but until somebody comes out with a higher quality stero bluetooth in ear headset that it truly resistant 2 sweat, I'm stuck. Consider these headphones disposable, & try 2 make them last as long as possible. With my next pair, I am going 2 try 2 run a small bead of clear silicone around the controls 2 see if that helps.
