Flip Video Camcorder: 60-Minutes (White)

I received one of these as a promotional. Functionally, it was totally cool. I dropped it. It broke. Done.

It was a small drop. The type of drop my regular camera has experienced multiple times. The type my mobile phone has experienced multiple times. Etc. Nope. Dead.

If you do buy one, buy yourself a case 4 padding - but the plastic is pretty thin stuff. Or buy yourself a camera that can do all these things & not break after a little wear & tear.

Great price & great camera , my only complaint is that amazon recomended that we buy a tripod 2 go with this camera & when we did the camera has no threaded hole 4 the tripod 2 mount too very dispointing we had 2 return it the tripod , they gave us credit but really would have liked a flip camera with a threaded hole 4 a tripod , other that that it works good , goes thru batterys pretty fast found that its best 2 use rechargeable batterys target had the best price on those rayovac hybrid recharable ,

I had been searching 4 an inexpensive, small video camera 2 use 2 film motorcycle trips. The Flip is ideal 4 that purpose. Even from the back of the bike, the shaking is minimal & road noise is not overwhelming.

What amazed me most though, is that shortly after buying the camera (on its first few uses, while I was on a bike trip) lines began 2 appear across the LCD view screen. The lines got wider & interfered more with the image seemingly every time I used the camera, although they never appeared in the final video once it was uploaded 2 my computer.

I contacted Flip through their website. After 2 or 3 emails back & forth, trying 2 troubleshoot the issue, I was given an RA number & asked 2 ship the camera back.

I did so, & waited 4 it 2 be repaired. To my surprise, the UPS notification email came less than a week later. I was sent a brand new unit still in the clamshell packaging. I was very impressed with the service & I am very happy with this camera.

So far, 4 the money, this is the best camcorder I've ever had. Easy 2 use, so it gets used.

Very easy 2 operate, uncomplicated controls,so small you can carry it in your shirt pocket. Does exactly what it's supposed 2 & does it well. I take it 2 dance classes & then save the session 2 my computer. Pics taken from video look better than some still cameras. I love this this little recorder.
