Iomega eGo Rugged Portable Hard Drive, USB 2.0, 160GB, Cherry Red - 33832

I needed an external hard drive 2 store my music so I could run iTunes from it (I have an Apple iBook G4 that is only 40 gigs). Based on all the positive reviews 4 this product I decided 2 buy it. It worked right out of the box & after some configuration I have my music library set up the way I want it. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't actually used it much 4 the purpose intended. But so far so good.

Good external HD which has been working perfectly. Good feel & finish quality product. It comes with a good back up software. The 4 stars are just because of 2 drawbacks: the cable is too short & the actual memory is not 250 GB. It's normal 2 HDs not have available the exact amount of GB but this one took more than 10 GBs!

I love the colors that this drive is available in. I ordered the Flamingo Pink. I was not happy with how large the drive turned out 2 be. It was huge compared 2 the other portable drives on the market. I returned the item becasue of this reason. My friend kept her's in black, but then claimed that the read/write speed was slow. I'd look into the other drives on the market before buying this one, unless your heart is set on owning this model.

This is a nice little USB 2.0 Hard Drive works very well & is very quiet
the only problem I see is that there no on/off switch, so it runs when ever the unit is plugged in, it does get warm, which does not affect the running of the HDD, Don't like the backup software that came with it, every times windows starts I get a error regarding EMC Retrospect Express HD, I E-Mailed the company, they said it's a Windows problem about .NET FRAME 2.0 still does back up my hard drive though.

The drive works just fine. I was hoping that it was a little smaller & lighter than it is. It looks good, but the finish on it is quite slick so that it slides easily. This could make it easy 2 accidentally drop.
