to attach a string from the wide-anglelense 2 the camera.
Due 2 the lense blocking out the flash you will need 2 take the lense off frequently in order 2 take flash pictures. If you don't attach it 2 the camera it is fairly easy 2 re-mount it incorrectly & have it fall off.
Fortunately someone else on my dive found mine & returned it.
