Fix-It Utilities 8 Professional [OLD VERSION]

Before I started 2 use Fix-it, 4 a while I didn't have any protection on my computer or system utilities. Simply because they were doing more mess than average trojan. My boyfriend bought it 4 his computer, so I said that I will give a try one more time ( I'm optimistic person, anyway I can always uninstall it). Since than, I can't imagine my lap without it. Virus database bigger than most of the anti virus programs, simple use, fast, not slowing down my laptop ( like ex. Norton ), so many useful things on one place, & customer support was very quick & helpful. Just all the best.

I bought Fix-It Utilities 7 & haven't been completely unsatisfied with it. It's feature JETDefrag is the worst defrag program I have ever seen; I seriously let this program run 4 37+ Hours, until I finally shut it down. My computer probably is damaged now from the heat it produced after running it that long. It's progress on JETDefrag wasn't even at 30% complete yet. The anti-virus & anti-spyware updates are incredibly large, & now it won't even allow me 2 update it anymore. Your computer will be overall slower once you install Fix-It Utilities, as it takes the most system resources I have ever seen any program take.
It's registry cleaner is ok, when it's working. Oh yeah, emailing them 4 technical support is worthless as they will never respond. I've emailed them over & over, with no response. Calling them on the phone always ends up with as a waste of time as well. Do yourself a favor & don't buy this terrible software.

I haven't had any problems with it; you can download a free trial version 2 be on the safe side. Honestly I don't notice any speed improvement, but then again the computer runs smoothly. I have had no viruses, spyware, or anything major. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is twofold. One when it fixes something, it won't tell you what it is. Not a biggie, basically I don't think I could understand the computer gibberish. Second, I brought Wincleaner because it is a much better cleaner than the one in Fix It. Overall, would I buy Fix It again; yes. Yeah you can get lots of freeware programs that are great, & do the same. However, I am old, & not computer savvy. This works 4 me & is worth the money.

I have used Fix-it utilities7 before, & I was very satisfied with it. Fix-it Utilities 8 is just a newer update of the old one. I work on the same way, & is good protesting.

I realize that my review is not about this product, but I think it is relevant 2 potential purchasers of Avanquest products. I do not know anything about this particular program, but have had considerable difficulty with Avanquest as detailed below.

I purchased My Ultimate Organizer 7.0 via download & subsequent key.

I am not making this up - the product displayed a message in Serbo-Croatian telling me the key had expired.

Four hours later with Technical Support & the problem is still not resolved (despite erasing the program, reinstalling, trying different keys, searching the Windows Registry, etc). It takes a full hour on hold 2 get a technical support representative & at the conclusion of the last session, I was told 2 contact Customer Service 4 a CD copy in the hopes that that would resolve the issue. Now Customer Service tells me Technical Support must send me the copy, although Technical Support says otherwise. I am out $30 4 a program that is at this point, totally useless, & left adrift by Avanquest who has my money & refuses 2 help me.

I would purchase Avanquest products with extreme caution. If you have a Technical Support issue, you will have 2 wait a minimum of 60 minutes on hold (no 800 number), & then get fairly substandard service after that.
