I guess external hard drives have gotten cheap enough that they are considered disposable, but that doesn't save your data!

Purchased this drive 2 serve as an external HD 4 my Dish Network receiver. The drive lives in an entertainment center & stays cool, even next 2 a warm recevier. Flawless performance & data transfers occur faster than the Dish Reveiver typically estimates them 2 take.

/>One note that I had not seen mentioned about this drive. There is a bright blue light behind the front grill that cannot be turned off. The light indicates power & changes intensity with drive activity. This is a little annoying as part of my home theater setup.
