I bought this camera 4 my girlfriend over a year ago. We used standard alkaline batteries, & literally after three 2 five flash pictures, the batteries were toasted. We assumed that we just got a dud camera, & it has sat unused 4 a year. I'm surprised we hadn't thrown it away. Then, after reading other reviews on this site, we got some Kodak 2500mAH rechargeable camera batteries & put them in this camera. IT'S WORKING GREAT NOW! Great pictures, & the camera is working with a battery life that you would expect.
This is a great little camera, but you MUST use rechargeable batteries with a high capacity!
Rating: 1 of 5 don't buy this camera!
I bought this camera & after about a week it just started 2 fall apart. First, it would eat up batteries like crazy. I realize that digitalcameras do this, but it would drain the batteries after about 5 minutes. These were brand new batteries! Then, the lens broke & the entire camera stopped working. I took it back & they gave me a new one. After about two weeks it did the exact same thing. I took it back again & they said they could not refund it because it had been over 14 days. I just gave up & bought a different camera. This was a terrible camera & a huge waste of my money.
Rating: 2 of 5 Be careful with this!
I very lightly dropped this camera on the carpet from about 6 inches away, jammed the zoom & the whole camera never went on again. Also, there is a significant amount of time between pictures, & the screen goes black, which makes it difficult 2 shoot kids, pets or anyone who can't sit still 4 a few mintutes.

I received this as a Christmas gift in 2007. Needless 2 say, after sending the camera back twice, finally figuring out that the battery life lasts about as long as a roll of toilet paper in a large household AND now that the lens keeps getting stuck, I have had it with this camera! I took this camera 2 a professional camera shop & the store owner told me he sees many of these cameras with the same problem on a DAILY basis. I just purchased a Fuji 4 the same amount of money & was told I will be much happier. Don't waste your money on this Samsungcamera!
Rating: 3 of 5 BATTERY EATER!!!!!
This is a very good camera. WHEN IT WORKS!! The thing will freeze & eat up all the life of the batteries. However... when it works it is a wonderful camera. It works very well & takes great photos. It's very fun because you can add stickers. DO NOT TAKE VIDEOS. That just sucks the juice out of the battery like a vacume cleaner. All in all it's an OK camera & I can't stress enough the suckish battery life. IT SUCKS SO MUCH>
