Iomega 33991 eSATA/FireWire 800/FireWire 400/USB 2.0 500GB UltraMax Hard Drive

I plugged the drive into the wall & the computer ... & it worked. End of story.

The hard drive got here on time, & its a great product. I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I like the many connectivity options with Firewire 400 & 800 & USB & eSata but the drive is very noisy which is a bit annoying.

Works as advertised. I'm using it 4 video storage. I use FW800 which is normally fast...but 4 HD video it's slow. Glad it has e-SATA. My next purchase is an e-SATA card 4 my computer. Only reason I gave 4 starts is because it has a separate power plug unit. Portability is limited 2 an outlet near by.

The drive was very noisy right out of the box. It worked 4 two weeks & then seized 2 operate. The drive spins up & down, very noisily not being recognized by either Windows XP or OS X 10.5.1. I do not recommend 2 buy this product.
