this is a nice drive. very small. very metal cased.
but, it does not work with all USB 2.0 computers. 4 example. my ibook G4.
apparently it requires more power then my old computer can pump out. & requires a (sold separately) power supply. witch sorta defeats the portableness.. does look nice though.
might want 2 check with lacie if its going 2 work with your pre-2007 computer.

It's a hard disk, plain & simple. It works well so far. I have not used the proprietary software. Compact design, very light, runs off of the usb drive on my IBM(Lenovo) laptop.
