Transcend TS16GJFV10 JetFlash V10 USB 2.0 16GB Flash Drive

This product only worked 4 about a week before it died on me. I was using it in my car as my head unit has a USB input slot. I had a 4gb thumb drive in there 4 about a year & it worked great. I'm not sure if I hit a fluke with this Transcend thumb drive. Or this just wasn't designed 2 be used in a car stereo. I just really wish I had keep box so I can return this. :(

Purchased this 2 get a bigger flash drive. I especially like the retractable USB port. Easy 2 use & way better than a detachable cap.

I had a Sandisk 4gig & it worked awesome but needed more space so I got the Transcend & at first it worked like a charm. I even bragged about it 2 my co-workers about the size & speed but a couple days ago it kept saying it was a read only disk so I couldn't put anything on it or erase anything on it. I had the IT guy looked at it & he searched the web & any utilities but couldn't find nothing. He suggested I format it. I transfered whatever was on my flash drive & then tried 2 format it. Tried using Windows & another formatting program but it wouldn't do it. Went 2 Transcends web site & used their download programs 2 format it. Well it formatted it but when I stuck it in my laptop it wanted 2 format it since it was new & still wouldn't cause of the read only. Grrrr. Submitted a ticket on their site several days ago & still waiting. Drive works great when it's working but kinda getting frustrating

Bought this flash drive 2 use as a back up 4 our digitial photos & music library on our home computer. Easy, simple & quick 2 use.

I love it, Is an easy 2 access flash drive. I currently own two. In one, I keep my Videos & Music,and in the other, I keep all my important document files. To me, its more realible than my previous external drive
which my laptop failed 2 recognized as a driver.
