Please see past the perks & notice the simple problem that will waste your money!
The camera has issues with batteries, by issues i mean it will not work on your standard set of batteries (alkaline) because of the large screen & other reasons. I only receive a couple of shots from the batteries, then they die. Also you will be unable 2 use a view finder because there ISNT one. This means there is no option 2 save the batteries using a view finder.
DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA.

Run fast, Run far. This camera doesn't want 2 operate on any batteries. On FE-310 # 2 so far in two months & the same problem. Tech support advises not 2 use alkaline batteries(which in fact come with the camera). Told 2 use NiMH batteries - NADA. Spent about $50 on batteries & chargers. They also gave me "Olympus" rechargeable batteries - still NADA. Sending camera # 2 back 2 them - hopefully 2 get a refund.

I do not say the product is not good. Just I do not like it because it is too thick in shape & I do not like 2 change batteries too much.
Rating: 1 of 5 Won't Work With Rechargable Batteries
Don't buy this camera!!! It will NOT work with NiMH batteries (the manual says it will work with NiMH) & it doesn't fully discharge alkaline batteries. I only got about 50 pictures on the included set of alkaline batteries.
I also didn't think that the pictures were all that sharp, 4 a 8MPcamera. The shutter response is very slow & the face recognition doesn't work until the face fills a large part of the screen.
Overall this is a poor camera.
