Nikon Coolpix L18 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom (Navy)

My wife needed a "SIMPLE" camera. The L18 does the job. It is super easy 2 use & she loves it. Her only complaint is that she is constantly feeding it batteries.....she used alkaline. We could start using rechargeable, but haven't tried that yet. But the camera is GREAT! Connection 2 computer 4 transfer works fantastic. Recommended.

This camera is amazing! I love this camera! It's been wonderful taking such fantastic photos. Ones that I actually want 2 display. =) Ones that people want copies of 2 put on their walls!
Plus I love the color too! So fun & easy 2 use!

I love point-and-shoots & have no desire at this point 2 get intoDSLR, & this LITTLE thing works great 2 have with you all the time. I have bigger P&S from the other mfgs (and Nikon) that do very well but you can't carry them around in your pocket like this one.
Have a Fuji A500 which did just average, this one is much clearer, LCD is huge in comparison, pictures are not grainy.
So 4 that time when you say "I wish I had my camera with me" get this & keep it by your side at all times (or use it everyday 4 all your pictures) & you'll be ready. And it comes in red or blue-- no more boring silver or black only.

I owned this camera 4 about a month & really liked it--good shots, fairly good speed, excellent review quality on the huge LCD. & face recognition focus. It even allows you 2 zoom in/out while you are acquiring video; My older sony won't let you do that.

Huge LCD, low cost, 8MP, what's not 2 like?

After about a month of use, a small black "crouton" something broke off or came loose inside the camera lens assembly. It positioned itself just on the back of the lens, so that future shots all included a photo of the backside.

We had an Olympus camera that broke, then we had a Pentax brand camera that broke & my wife decided she wanted this camera. I ordered it 4 her trip 2 Vermont she was going on & it arrived in time. She took may great pictures & they turned out amazingly well. The colors were vibrant, everything was in focus. This really is a great camera 4 the price. Is it 4 the "pro"? Probably not, but it works just well 4 anyone that wants 2 point & shoot. One of my favorite things is it takes AA batteries so you can easily get replacements if needed. Great camera!
