Sony Cybershot DSCW170 10.1MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom with Super Steady Shot (Silver)

I bought this camera 2 my dad 4 his birthday & I had 2 try it. I was amazed with the quality & features this camera has & its size. I took some picture in NYC using the HIGH ISO & the photos were with just a few noise. I took pictures of my girlfriend's cats & they were awesome. Also I took it 2 a big party & the quality in a dark disco was awesome. And finally I used it 2 take pictures & record the F1 GP the shots quality were good too. Very impressed with the quality of the movie recorded. My only issue is with the smile detection, some time it does not allow me 2 take pictures but I did not have time 2 explore the manual. I am wondering 2 buy another 4 myself.

Well this camera seemed amazing at first. It took clear pictures most of the time. But as i started 2 use it more & in different kinds of lighting that you can forget taking a decent picture after sundown. The image stabilization is poor & you have 2 fight the camera 2 focus on up close objects clearly.
HOwever it is a good camera & sturdy, takes great pictures during the day time though its focus is still off. or maybe thats just me? Sometimes ive gotten the shot i wanted with a bit of luck. My complaints about this camera are common 4 newer sony cybershots. You can't get everything you want in one package...

Sony has been around 4 a long time,and they have a great reputation,all
my stereo components are Sony.This Sony camera is compact,lightweight,and takes great photos.Great zoom,much better than most cameras,the overall performance is awsome!

Love this camera. Its easy 2 use with great features. The smile button snaps the picture when it detects a smile...wow it actually works. This should make those Christmas pictures perfect. I also love the easy button...great pics no thought 2 it!! Finally you experts out there there are enough settings available 2 you 2 customize your shots.
One thing I forgot 2 mention the wide angle feature 2 fit the whole scene in should come in handy on my upcoming trip.
Nothing 2 not like about this camera.
