Casio Exilim EX-Z200 10.1 MP Digital Camera - RED

Research led me 2 the Casio Z200. I was very impressed with the written capabilites. Image quality is not on par with the Sony 7.1 mp I replaced. Not as focussed & the 28M or wide angle setting overly distorted pictures of buildings etc. However, as I became accustomed 2 the settings, the lens stopped working - it would not extend & closed only half way. Being only 10 days old, I was frustrated 2 have 2 send it back 2 the manufacturer at my cost while fall colors were happening. However, 2 have Casio come bakc & say that I must have dropped it & that I would have 2 pay almost the replacement price 2 have it repaired is unacceptable & leads me 2 believe that there is a serious engineering quality problem or flaw. I have had it returned 2 me (once again at my expense) & I will gladly send photos of the casio 2 anyone interesed 2 check 4 themselves that it doesn't have a nick or a scratch & was never dropped.
Buyer Beware - avoid the Casio Z200

I purchased this camera four months ago & loved it until all of a sudden it quit - lens error. Casio charges more than the camera is worth 2 fix it.

I was replacing my sony cybershot & needed a camera that didn't take "fuzzy" pics. This is the ONE...close ups, great zoom, multi-shots of a series...it is phenomenal. And So cute!! You won't be disappointed!

This is a great camera 4 anyone who wants 2 take great, high resolution pictures, but doesn't want 2 have 2 fuss with a lot camera controls 2 do it. It does give you lots of control if you want it, but it takes great pictures using the auto setting. It also has great zoom capabilities -- 4x optical/4x digital -- so the resolution is great. Finally, I bought it so I wouldn't have 2 lug my camcorder on vacation. This little guy takes great video on the fly. The video output is in *.mov format, which can be viewed with Quicktime or imported directly into iTunes. You can also use any video editing software 2 import the video & make movies. It's a small camera, so can fit in a shirt pocket, but personally it's a little big 4 me 2 put in my pants pocket.
