LEGO Batman

Lego Batman is a very fun game. It is probably the best in the "Lego(insert franchise here)" series. But, as usual, PC is the LAST priority 4 gaming publishers & it shows on this game.

While the other versions play near flawlessly, this game doesn't.

I can't knock it too much. After all, it's one of those few games 4 people with an older system 2 still be able 2 enjoy modern games instead of the same stuff released a while ago.

After all, it can run on a 1Ghz Pentium III with only 256MB of memory & a DVD drive. I have a computer like that in my basement. But, I ran this game on my new computer: A Core 2 Duo with 2GB of memory & a 512MB Nvidia GeForce 8000.

Yet still, a game that should run flawlessly on my system somehow....doesn't.

The game IS fun, & I have it beaten near 100%, but sometimes you need 2 adjust your graphical settings & make them LOWER in order 2 pass certain levels. Especially during the Penguin boss fight 4 the heroes.

I should be able 2 get sucked into a game, not 2 stop & pause 2 change my settings.

Also, the AI is dumber than dirt & 7/10 times the computer DAMPERS your progress instead of HELPING it. Isn't that the point of a partner? To HELP you instead of HARM you?

A couple words of advice:

-GET A CONTROLLER. The PC controls are horrible!

-GET A GUIDE. Half the time, you won't be able 2 figure it out unless you are directed.

-Keep your display at 800x600 & turn all graphical options off(Shadows, bloom, etc.) It runs faster like this & less bugs occur.

-If you can, GET A SECOND PERSON TO PLAY THIS WITH YOU. The computer is so DUMB,(especially during Free Play mode) that you NEED an actual PERSON 2 play. For example, when I change into a toxin-resistant character 2 pass a pile of poison, you expect your partner 2 file suit, right? WRONG! He just stands there running in circles like an idiot. True example. Happened 2 me on one of the Joker stages.

So, all in all, a great game. Great replay value, but a terrible translation of a sure fire winner.

You'd figure that with two Lego Star Wars games & Lego Indiana Jones already under their belts, Travelers Tales' Lego games would be getting kind of stale. Well, you'd figure wrong. Lego Batman features everything that was enjoyable with the aforementioned games, & slaps the Batman license on it 2 boot. Playing as the Caped Crusader & his sidekick Robin, you traverse a Lego-fied Gotham City & take on the usual rogues gallery of baddies. Fans of the Batman comics will be happy 2 see plenty of familiar faces: Joker, Nightwing, Batgirl, Hush, Bane, & plenty more are all here 4 your amusement. If you've played any of the previous Lego-based games, you should already know what 2 expect here, as Lego Batman offers up plenty of funny & comical moments supplemented with tons of unlockables & bonus characters 2 boot. The game looks good & even offers Danny Elfman's classic Batman theme, rounding out the presentation. The only downsides 2 Lego Batman are the same flaws that were apparent in previous Lego games: the difficulty is simple 2 say the least, & the game isn't that long at all. Still, with the hordes of unlockables 2 find that will hold your attention & keep you playing 4 a while. All in all, Lego Batman is a fun & family friendly diversion that anyone can enjoy & easily pick up & play.

I bought this because I love Batman & I loved the Lego Star Wars games, so I thought I couldn't go wrong. What I should have done is spent the extra money 4 the xbox copy. The PC version is so full of bugs, it even prevents me from completing some levels. They should have done more testing on this version.

This game is the best game 4 the Lego franchise. Updated & packed with action. The features of LEGO Batman. I'm only age 14, but even so this game is suitable 4 all ages ( Not meaning the ESRB rating) I mean how fun it is. I would recommend this, even though the system requirements say you can run this software on a older computer, that does not mean that the computer will lag & freeze. I recommend that you have a 3.0 Processor & 1.5 gig of Ram. I think that this game is great 4 any LEGO lover, & Batman lover

I liked the original concept, & Ive liked every version since. Its just a great light hearted game thats both fun & will make you laugh as it pokes a little fun at the original movie its portraying.
