I got this a little while ago. It's been a very positive experience. I use it 2 hold large video files we use at my church. Being the audio/visual technician, it's nice 2 have a bunch more space. It links up 2 my computer nicely. I suppose it's a little cumbersome 2 carry the power cord 4 it as well, but I'm so used 2 that it doesn't bother me at all. I use the Firewire port most of the time & it seems fast & easy. The look is sleek & clean. The blue light is a nice added effect. All I can say is that this is a good purchase if you are looking 4 a good quality external hard drive.

This drive works perfect. This is the 3rd LaCie drive I have bought & have had no problems of any kind.

It's hard 2 express how grateful I am when I get a piece of technology that works right out of the box. It's quite, the most quite of any LaCie I've ever owned & beautiful. It is a high gloss black box that will show finger prints & scratches but there's been little need 2 touch it.

A treasure 4 me.

I bought this 2 use with time machine on my macbook. The setup was easy; it only took a couple of minutes 2 get it hooked up & it was easy 2 do the whole partition thing. I have it setup as one partition but that doesn't restrict me from putting additional files on it even though it is set up 4 time machine. If you wanted to, you can use disk utility 2 create additional partitions.
The only complaint I have was that the cord is very short, but since I wanted it right beside my laptop anyway, it doesn't bother me. If you want it out of sight though, you are going 2 have 2 buy a longer cord.

All-in-all, I'm very satisfied. It does exactly what it should & it makes it easy.

This drive is quiet, fast, & has a small footprint. It was packaged well. I plugged the hard drive into my iMac & it was immediately recognized. After a quick setup, the drive was ready 4 action. Thus far, I'm really happy with this drive. I'd make this purchase again.
