Drive works well, no external power needed & slim design. Read & write speeds are adequate & encryption seems pretty thorough- if you forget the password consider all data lost.

This was an amazing drive. Installed easily, software is straight forward & it's nice 2 know there is that much storage that is encrypted. Highly recommend this one!

Really like this product. I liked that it rated my password, so I could eventually end up with a high rated one 4 security. Nice small size, nice carrying bag. Certainly worth the money!!!

The ordering was a piece of cake. Very easy & recevied my item in a few days. The Maxtor BlackArmor, is small portalbe & does what it says. No major issues & the funtionality is pretty easy.

I use this HDD 4 storing my pictures & very important files. It goes with me everywhere. I especially like the fact that if you forget your password you literally have 2 wipe out the entire drive (meaning you lose everything) & recreate a new password in order 2 use the drive. If the drive is stolen, the information cannot be retreived unless you have the password. Although a top-notch hacker can probably retrieve it...nothing is perfect you know. My only complaint (which I failed 2 notice initially) is that the drive runs at 5400rpm. I would of liked 7200rpm. But it does its job. Another plus 2 this is that it is powered by your USB port. If 4 whatever reason your USB port cannot power the device, you can order a special cable that goes from minUSB 2 double USB so that the drive gathers power from two USB ports. All in all, I enjoy the cool blue lights on the drive & really have no major complaints. I use it 2 store & thats about it. If I were using it 4 more, I'd invest in a faster drive. That's all folks!
