A month after purchase this laptop is looking like a TERRIFIC buy.It has the classic Sony Vaio build & design qualities but at a really competitive price. It comes with some super extras - including voice recognition software that works,and a great chess programme. The dark blue version also looks cool.

The picture quality is just superb - better than my TV!

I wanted a solid & reliable laptop, though, mainly 4 working at home & it has far exceeded my expectations.

Not being a computer wizz I have needed 2 use the Sony helpline 2 guide me through some set up problems wih my home network & found this 2 be prompt,accessible & professional.

It has Vista which has proved 2 be much easier 2 use than I had feared.

All in all this looks like a magnificent deal 4 those who want an easy-to-use laptop without too many frills but don't mind having a lot more.

This is an excellent laptop 4 business or student. THe screen is crystal clear with vibrant colors. Also, this model processes very fast even with multiple windows open.

If you're a 3D gamer, this probably wouldn't suffice but 4 working with office products & on the web it is an excellent choice.

We highly recommend the Sony VAIO VGN-NR460E/S 15.4-inch Laptop (1.86 GHz Intel Pentium Dual-Core T2390 Processor, 2 GB RAM, 200 GB Hard Drive, Vista Premium) Silver. It is light, but feature-packed. The only downside, & that is probably temporary, is the Windows Vista that was installed. This is the third VAIO we've owned. So far, we are satisfied with all.
