It is really very good with the compressor. Clicking the flash drive gives me something 2 do in school & is very addicting!
Rating: 4 of 5 For the price
For the price this is not a bad drive. I found it 4 sale 4 $14.99 at my local Target. The average B&M street price at the time was $20.00 give or take a couple bucks. Now you can find 4 & even 8gig 4 only a few dollars more.
Back 2 the review -
I like the pin-click design. It is at least as handy as the slider I had from SanDisk. It can be a pain when plugging it in because sometimes it tries 2 click closed. I've learned 2 only click it open as I'm incerting it 2 my laptop.
I've had SonyUSBs before & found them 2 be reliable. I see nothing 2 make me think this one will be any different. Feels solid - unlike some PNYs I've had.
Here is the kicker 4 me. For a cheap USB that is not promoted as Hi-Speed, which it isn't, it does do a pretty sweet job of R&W.
I use it as a speed booster in my Vista system & this is the R&W as reported from MS Event View:
ReadyBoost read of - 6284 KB/sec, write of - 4575 KB/sec
Again, not über quick by any stretch, but good enough 2 help Vista. And if you use Vista you know every little bit of speed help is needed.
