I've only had the item 4 2 days now, & I would agree with some of the other reviews about poor low light capabilities. But what do you expect from a cheap camera? If you want something better & have a lot of $$$, then go 4 the vHoldr camera or better. Video quality is comparable 2 what you see on Police videos.
Pros:
- Price
- AA batteries vs. built in or lithium
- Cover on the back is easy 2 remove & replace.
- All accessories come with versus purchasing individually with the vHoldr model
Cons:
- Screen is small & symbols are hard 2 read.
- Included accessories are sometimes hard 2 manipulate depending on what you want 2 do (but at least you don't have 2 buy them separately).
- Rather bulky but I don't know how it compares with other actioncameras
That's all I have 4 now. May come back in a week or two 2 update.

This camera has absolutley horrible audio quality, however, this is not a big issue as I only need the video. It works best outside on bright days, 4 instance snowboarding, or riding a motorcycle. I attached it 2 my snorkeling mask & it was pretty effective. The video quality is a little better than a cellphones. Worth it if you do crazy stuff & are likely 2 break a nicer camera.

I recently purchased the ATC3K so that my buddies & I could capture footage from our riding excursions. I, myself, am into all sorts of riding - from dirt 2 street - & decided not 2 go with any other competitor camera, mainly due 2 price, package & peoples' reviews. At this point, I regret my decision!
My advice is 2 dish out a few more bills & get a hands-free camera that will give you quality video. The ATC3Kvideo was grainy & the sound was horrible. I compared my footage 2 a buddy of mine's camera footage & his was way better (he has the vholdr camera). Not 2 mention that the ATC weighs in super heavy at 1 pound! Lastly, I own a Mac so that put me at a huge disadvantage because I was unable 2 use the software... If I spend good money on a camera like this, I want software that will WORK!
Bottom Line: don't be stingy - buy a different hands free camcorder!

I bought this believing that it would provide at least a passable quality. However, picture is too slow 2 self-adjust from lighted area 2 shade. Driving down a road on a sunny day, I would see clear picture until I pass under a shaded area, where the picture would immediately become too dark 2 view. I contacted OregonScientific 4 support, explained the issue, and, after 5 days, they responded by asking me where I bought the item. Not sure what that has 2 do with my question, but I sent them a copy of my receipt (only had it 4 less than 30 days) & haven't heard anything since. That was last month. I am now looking 4 a better quality camera, but I will never buy another OregonScientific product again...it's not worth the effort.

I like 2 take video of all my trips & give them 2 family or 2 the people that go with us. I put this on my Harley & took video of my last motorcycle trip. It worked out great. There is a $500 dollar version that someone makes that has more bells & whistles (i.e. like playing back what you've done) but 4 the money this was an excellent buy & meets my needs perfectly.
