HP Pavilion DV7-1170US 17.0-Inch Laptop (2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 Processor, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB Hard Drive, Blu-Ray and DVD Drive, Vista Premium)

I was looking 4 a 17" screen computer & this one fit the bill. It is easy 2 operate, & the 64 bit operating system is working fine. I deleted the software that came with it & loaded AVG anti virus, Spybot spyware & also Open office instead of paying 4 the microsoft office system supplied. I have not had any problems but one annoying thing was the automatic update feature. I suggest you change the settings 2 ask if you want 2 download the update 2 keep the computer from re-starting when you are in the middle of a project.

I priced this at other stores & Amazon was cheapest. Free shipping & I got the computer in 3 days!

This is a great laptop. Runs most games just fine at medium 2 high settings. Pick this laptop up at bestbuy 4 $899. That is a steal 4 what you get.

I just had 2 have all the bells & whistles with a new laptop. Never mind that I don't own a BluRay drive. I should have bought this model. This model is 300 dollars cheaper versus the $1499 model with the same processor. So go figure.
