I added 2 2G memory module as an upgrade. the keyboard is a smaller than standard but my big fingers still fit. wifiN connects easily 2 various networks. I use its bluetooth 4 an external mouse (so I only use the keyboards finger controls 4 quick work). The built in camera is perfect 4 Skype type conversations. I recommend the product. NOTE:the hardrive comes with 2 partitions. At startup I thought the HD size was 1/2 the speced 160G, then found the other 80G in d:.

I have really wanted a little computer 4 years. When they started becoming available, I shopped & looked & read reviews assiduously, waiting 4 the right one. My Asus Eee PC 1000H is the right one 4 me. I am perfectly satisfied with everything except that durn right pinky finger issue & I intend 2 attempt 2 remap it as was suggested by another reviewer (THANKS!). I upgraded 2 2 GB memory & found a YouTube video showing how, step by step. Easy peasy.
I was realllllllly wanting a puter 2 do PowerPoint presentations at conferences & this one did beautifully earlier this month. I was afraid it might not be powerful enough. Hah! I scoff in my own general direction! After hauling around an 11 lb. HP 17", this was like nothing & I didn't even have 2 take it out of the neoprene case as I went through airport security.
This little guy is not "computer-lite" - it's the real thing.

Follow-up comment: I used the sharpkeys software 2 remap/switch my arrow up & shift keys. It was very easy 2 do & now it's a lot easier 4 me 2 type accuratelly! I do have 2 do some reprogramming of my brain 2 remember 2 use the new arrow key 4 shifting things around in PowerPoint, but no biggie.

I too had problems with using Trend Micro on the Asus 1000H. It stopped working after installing TM. If you will delete the Eset program, & then install TM, it works perfectly.

Asus really did a good job with this product. I got this computer a month ago 4 college & it works perfectly fine 4 what I needed. After u get microsoft office working you have all u need 4 typing & make presentations.Mail & Internet works perfectly fine too. If you are looking 4 a computer 4 typing or traveling that works perfect, this is the one 2 get.

The only cons I found in this computer, & the reason why i rated it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the battery does't last 7 hours as asus advertise.It will give u 4 hours with wi-fi on. Also the shift key it's oddly placed but you'll get used 2 it after a while.

After all, I'am very satisfied with this laptop. It's the perfect product 4 people who is looking 4 a very portable computer.
